Phil Newman -  PhD, M.Sports Physio, B.App.Sc (Physio), GCHE

Clinician

​Phil has had significant experience as a Sports Physiotherapist over 25 years in a range of clinical roles with International Sports Teams, Public and Private Practice, Emergency Department Physiotherapy, Academia and in the Australian Defence Force.

​Educator

​Teaching experience has included substantial curriculum design and development being a part of the inaugural teaching team at UC in 2004, through international teaching assignments to Shanghai and in facilitating and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate education for more than 10 years.

Researcher

​Research interests are in sports, military and musculoskeletal injury, particularly medial tibial stress syndrome,  motor control in anterior cruciate ligament injury, femoroacetabular impingement, and clinical prediction.
